1. When is City Hall open?

City Hall is open Monday through Friday, 7:30AM - 5:00PM. We can also be reached at 623-932-3910.

2. When are Council Meetings Held?

Council meetings are held the second and fourth Monday of each month at 6:00 PM in the Justice Center in Goodyear, located at 185 N. 145th Avenue (southeast corner of 145th Avenue and Van Buren Street), unless otherwise specified.

3. Are all Council Meetings open to the public?

Yes, except when the Council recesses for Executive Sessions.

4. How may I participate in a Council Meeting?

Citizen participation is invited and encouraged by the City Council. The general public is welcomed at all Council meetings, and any person may speak on matters on the agenda, or any other appropriate subjects. However, in order to assure fair consideration of each item and of all the viewpoints to be presented, certain general rules regarding the appropriate time to speak and length of time spoken must be followed.

5. Where do I go to view Agendas and Action Items?

The agenda is posted on the City’s website and outside City Hall for public viewing on the Friday preceding the Council meeting, in compliance with the Arizona Open Meeting Law Act. Every Tuesday morning following the Monday Council Meeting, there is a summary of Council Actions from the most recent Council meeting.

6. May I speak at a Council Meeting?

Any person may speak on matters on the agenda or any other appropriate subjects. A speaker must fill out an online speaker card prior to the meeting.

At each point in the meeting when it is appropriate for citizens to speak, the Mayor will so indicate. Each citizen wishing to speak should approach the microphone, and may begin when recognized by the Mayor. Before you begin to speak, identify yourself by clearly stating your name and address. When addressing the Council, please limit your comments to 3 minutes. The Council is not permitted to respond to comments during this time. Speaker Card

7. Where do I go to vote in Goodyear?

8. How do I register to vote in Goodyear?

You may pick up a voter registration form at City Hall, 190 N. Litchfield Road, or visit the Maricopa County Elections website.
