What we do

The Parks & Recreation Department which included park development and park maintenance; aquatics, sports, and recreation programming; operations and maintenance of a Spring Training ballpark and accompanying practice fields; and implementation of outdoor conservation programs. Parks & Recreation oversees contract negotiations with private sector service providers, and intergovernmental agreements with school districts and other government entities, while also formulating and implementing the Park Master Plan and the Open Spaces and Trails Master Plan.
