Goodyear Branch Library

The Goodyear Branch Library is a partnership of the City of Goodyear and the Maricopa County Library District. This library location houses over 13,000 books, DVDs, music CDs and other items for circulation.  Over 300 people visit the facility each day, and circulation has increased significantly every year since opening.

And now the Library will open at 10 am EVERY day, Monday through Saturday.

You can find picture books for children, large print books for seniors and the latest best-sellers.

A Spring 2013 opening is planned for the enlarged Library facility to be located in the Venida City Complex on Van Buren St. at 145th Ave.

Public-use computers

Library cards are available free to Maricopa County residents with a photo ID and proof that you live in the County. Children under 18 must have a guardian present.

There are 6 public computers available, using your library card, for a period of one hour. If all computers are in use, you can make a reservation for the next available time at a kiosk in the library. There is also Wi-Fi capability, which also requires a County library card for access.

Meet Your Branch Library Manager

"Our goal is for this library to become a truly integral part of the community," states Fran Wendtland, the branch manager of Goodyear’s new library. "We want the residents to consider the Goodyear Branch Library one of the most welcoming facilities they have ever visited."

Wendtland comes to Goodyear after three years as a Regional Branch Manager for the Maricopa Library District's Northwest Regional Library in Surprise. Fran brings 37 years of library experience to Goodyear. Come in soon and meet Fran and her library staff: Donna Heuseveldt, Janet Kummer and Elaine Leiher.
