What we do

The Fire Prevention Division handles fire plan reviews, fire code and inspection services for both new and existing businesses. The division also provides fire permit reviews and issues permits for special events, tents and fire prevention contractors.

Fire Prevention is also responsible for the investigation of the cause and origin of fires and works closely with the Police Department on suspicious or arson related fires.
