The ribbon cutting ceremony took place at the new Daimler Trucks North America facility on Indian School Road and the Loop 303 on Tuesday morning -- yet another indicator of Goodyear's robust economic growth and development.

"This is one of the best logistical locations we found as we scoured the southwest," Daimler North America General Manager Jay Johnson said. "It's a welcome community. We have a great workforce. It's perfect for our needs."

The facility, which includes about 50 employees, is the latest example of the economic expansion enabled by the Loop 303 corridor. The facility, which was part of Daimler's five-year expansion plan, will be a boost to transportation businesses that provide vital products and services on a daily business.

"We did imagine over time that great companies would come here," said Goodyear Economic Development manager Harry Paxton.  "Goodyear's a community that looks forward to working with you as we continue to grow and thrive here."
