Live Music Restaurant, The Stillery, Announces Its Opening at GSQ – Goodyear’s Future Downtown

The first business to announce it will open at the highly-anticipated major development “GSQ” in Goodyear is The Stillery. It will be located off 150th Avenue, just north of McDowell Road in a prime location, facing a two-acre park in the heart of the city.

Known for its live country music and late-night dancing, fresh American comfort-style food and signature mason jar cocktails, the Tennessee-based restaurant and bar is choosing to open its next Valley location in the future downtown of Goodyear. It’s expected to open in late 2023.

“There’s nothing yet like this to do in Goodyear,” said The Stillery co-owner James Sampley. “I’m excited to bring that to everybody, meet people on the west side of the Valley and have some fun!”

“We are very excited to announce that The Stillery will be coming to Goodyear and GSQ,” said Globe President and co-CEO George Getz. “Their brand of live entertainment and lively atmosphere will be a great compliment to our project and the surrounding area.”

Globe is a family business that has owned the land located north of McDowell Road between Bullard Avenue and PebbleCreek Parkway since 1970 when it was a scallion farm. Eventually, the mixed-use walkable urban center will be a destination for dining, entertainment, and shopping. More highly desired businesses will be joining The Stillery at GSQ and will be announced in the coming months.

“I am excited that The Stillery will bring live entertainment seven days a week to the new heart of Goodyear,” said Mayor Joe Pizzillo. “The Stillery is leading the way as the first of many great restaurants and entertainment venues to join us at GSQ as a very fun and walkable district develops around Goodyear Civic Square.”

The development of GSQ follows the grand opening of Goodyear Civic Square which opened its doors on August 1 thanks to a public/private partnership between the city and Globe. The project was completed on time and on budget.
