The Goodyear Fill-A-Need program is gearing up to brighten the holiday season by helping connect families in need with the generous gifts and donations made available through a cooperative effort administered by city of Goodyear employees, and includes various partnerships with the local businesses, schools, non-profit organizations, and residents.  

In the fall of each year, the city receives referrals of families in need from school, neighbors, public safety, and other partners. The program primarily focuses on providing items for children that parents are unable to provide such as clothing, school supplies, and toys. Food and common household items such as toiletries and cleaning supplies are also provided.

To apply to the program, fill out an application by clicking HERE or by picking up an application in person at City Hall. To be eligible you must be a Goodyear resident. 

Applications & Referrals due by November 8, 2024

Pursuant to state law, the city is required to verify the immigration status of all persons applying for public benefits. All applicants will be required to complete an application as well as an applicant statement and provide documentation of status as U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or qualified alien requirement before their application will be considered for this program.

Care to Join Us in Making the Holidays Brighter?

Citizens, businesses, and civic organizations are invited to participate in the program by donating items such as wrapping paper and supplies; and monetary contributions, which are used to purchase gifts and supplies for the families. There is also an opportunity to adopt a family by donated selected items. Donations of items and monetary contributions can be made by dropping off at the City Hall lobby at 1900 N Civic Square or by contacting the Fill a Need Program at 623-882-7765.
