Kids to Parks Day on Saturday

8-10 a.m. at Goodyear Community Park

Goodyear, Ariz. (May 16, 2016) – The city of Goodyear is hosting a local Kids to Parks Day event on Saturday, May 21 from 8-10 a.m. at Goodyear Community Park, 3151 N Litchfield Road.

Organized by the National Park Trust, the event encourages children across the country to explore their neighborhood parks and discover science, history, nature and adventure.

Specifically in Goodyear, the activities include: water balloon toss; relay races; kite flying; hula hoop; and jump rope competitions. Kids also will have an opportunity to hang out with Tierra, a five year old tortoise from Estrella Mountain Regional Park.
