Microtransit Service
WeRIDE is Goodyear’s newest pilot rideshare service. WeRIDE offers trips to and from fixed points within a 10-minute walk to all central Goodyear neighborhoods and stops at shopping centers, recreation facilities, businesses and community spaces!
The new service is for short trips and uses small vehicles (seating up to 5 customers). The service is meant to be a fast, safe, and convenient option for quick trips. Keep an eye out for the WeRIDE vehicles around town and more information on how to get started with your quick ride!
What is WeRIDE?
WeRIDE Micro provides convenient, affordable, and on-demand shared rides in select area in the cities of Avondale and Goodyear within a distinct zone in each city, Monday-Friday from 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. All trips in both cities must take place within their respective zones.
WeRIDE Micro is a shared ride service that pairs multiple passengers heading in the same direction in a single vehicle. By entering your pickup and drop-off locations in the WeRIDE Micro App, you will be matched with a vehicle going your way.
The regular adult fare starting January 3, 2023 is $2.00 per ride. Seniors over the age of 60, veterans, disabled, transfers to and from the Valley Metro System, and students currently registered at EMCC and Franklin Pierce University pay a reduced fare of $1.00 per ride. Children 5-years of age and under ride free with a fare-paying passenger age 16-years and above.
Customers that prefer to pay cash for their trip can do so on board the vehicle. Drivers can only accept the exact fare and will NOT be able to provide change.
WeRIDE Micro vehicles are ADA-friendly, bike racks are available on all of the vehicles. Children under 5-years of age and/or under 65 pounds will need to ride in a car seat provided and secured by the accompanying adult.
