Luxury Item Discount Rate

The sales tax rate on any single retail item $5,000 or greater is subject to a lower city sales tax rate of 1.2%. This would apply to large purchase items such as automobile, jewelry and furniture sales.  Buyers will receive a 1.3% discount on a single item purchase if the item exceeds $5,000.
