McDowell Road Commercial Corridor Improvement District (MRCCID)

The McDowell Road Commercial Corridor Improvement District (MRCCID) was formed by the City Council on November 13, 2006 to help finance and expedite construction of public infrastructure necessary for commercial development of property within the improvement district.  The MRCCID is generally bounded by Interstate 10 north to Virginia Avenue and Bullard Avenue to Pebblecreek Parkway.  The local improvement provided the installation and construction of street improvements and the Bullard Wash drainage channel.  Bonds were issued to finance the infrastructure and the properties that benefited have been assessed to pay for the improvements in the assessed area.  Property owners are directly billed semi-annually for their respective assessments.
