Volunteers are a special and unique group of individuals. They share their time, talent and passions to make the city a better place for everyone.

Today, more than ever, communities rely on the willingness of citizens to work together to enhance public services. In the city of Goodyear, volunteers enrich the community every day. Volunteers work within the city reducing the cost to deliver services to its residents all the while having fun and enjoying new challenges!

The city is looking for these special individuals to help city departments with their clerical work and research. We are also seeking people to be educational ambassadors and to participate in various city volunteer programs, including those listed below. Some positions are regular and ongoing while others are one-time special events. Click on links below for more information. How to apply:

  • Volunteer opportunities can be found on the city of Goodyear’s career page.
  • Only a limited number of the most highly qualified applicants meeting the City's requirements will be invited for an interview. Examination process for each position will include a panel interview.
  • Any or all of the following may be required before placement in any sensitive volunteer position: Background check, Substance Abuse Testing, MVD Check, and Fingerprinting.

Per City of Goodyear policy, volunteers who have worked a minimum of 160 hours and continue to volunteer or work on a regular basis may be eligible for internal recruitment opportunities.
