This is a great opportunity to give back to the community and be a mentor for our youth! All of our youth sports leagues require volunteer coaches. We provide coaches training and resources to assist volunteers with the prospect of coaching youth sports for the first time. The time commitment ranges from 3-4 hours per week for 7 to 9 weeks. Coaches are required to communicate with teams while providing a safe and fun atmosphere at practices.

• A credit will be applied to the recreation account to be used towards a future program at the end of the season (Head Coach only)

Coaching Requirements:

• Applicant must be 18 years of age
• Submit online coach application each season
• Submit online background check 
• Abide by the Code of Conduct
• Coaches are expected attend the coaches meeting prior to the start of each season and are responsible for contacting their teams after the meeting.
• Ability to deal professionally and tactfully with players, their parents, other coaches, officials, spectators, and recreation staff.
• Effectively communicate with parents on the practice schedule, game schedule, end of team party and other misc. items that arise throughout the season.

Volunteer Application Process: 

1. Application - All coaches must submit a Youth Volunteer Coach Application. An application is required for every coach prior to the coaches meeting.
2. Background Check – Upon submission of the application, Human Resources will email the background screening information, which will be processed through ESR.
