Pool Drain Permit Application

Pool Drain Permit Application

The City of Goodyear requires that all pool and spa water discharges be kept on owner's property or discharged to a sanitary sewer clean-out of private property. Allowing water to run on other people's property, public rights-of-way, or open space is illegal (City Code 11-1-16 and 14-5-7).

Goodyear water & sewer customers are required to submit a pool drain permit application prior to draining a pool. After you submit the application, you will be notified by 5PM the following business day by email that your permit has been approved or if additional information is required. (Add stormwater@goodyearaz.gov to your contacts to help ensure delivery and/or check your spam folder).

This permit is for all City of Goodyear sewer service customers, which includes residents south of I-10 and residents of Sedella and Canada Village. View our Water & Sewer Service Area Lookup to confirm your provider.

If you have any questions concerning the permit or draining process, see FAQs, or this informational document. For additional questions, call 623-932-3010, option 3 and ask for Pool Drain Permit personnel. You may wish to seek professional assistance from a qualified individual specializing in pool drainage.
