Home Repair/Rehabilitation Pilot Program

This program provides  income-eligible households with grants or forgivable loans to repair health and safety hazards, make energy efficiency improvements, or improve accessibility. Funds are limited and applications will be reviewed on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Who Qualifies?

Homeowners must:

  •  Live within the incorporated boundaries of the city of Goodyear
  • Own the home and live in it as the primary residence
  • Have owned the home for at least 1 year
  • Be committed to living in the home for at least 3 years
  • Be able to provide proof of lawful presence in the United States
  • Meet income qualifications. Gross income should not exceed:

1 person household - $57,600                   4 person household - $82,250
2 person household - $65,800                   5 person household - $88,850
3 person household - $74,050                   6 person household - $95,450

Examples of Eligible Improvements Include:

  • accommodations for accessibility
  • doors
  • dual pane windows
  • electrical and plumbing
  • heating and cooling
  • improvements to address conditions that
    threaten the health and safety of the occupants

The home must have one or more hazardous conditions that threaten the health and safety of the occupants to be eligible.
